In just a few short weeks Halloween season will be upon us!
To celebrate, 4th Dimension Entertainment will be holding its 1st ever Pumpkin Carving Contest!
The rules are simple: Take a Pumpkin of any size and shape, and carve it into a work of art! You may use only art, characters, symbols, and/or imagery from the following 4th Dimension Entertainment series:

The prizes will be as follows:
1st Place: $100.00 In 4DE Shop Merchandise.
2nd Place: $50.00 In 4DE Shop Merchandise.
3rd Place: $25.00 In 4DE Shop Merchandise.
This will include any available items for sale at 4de.com/products.php as of the the contest's end date and time.
The contest starts immediately, and will end on October 31, 2011 at 12:00 AM, with final judging to be preformed later that day, and the announcement of winners to be made later that night--Halloween Night!
To enter, you will need to provide pictures of your pumpkin-masterpiece! We need no less then 1 Picture, but no more then 5 pictures of your pumpkin for us to judge from. The pictures will need to be provided to us electronically, either via links on DA or to our email: pumpkin@4de.com -- Also, the pictures need to be large enough and show enough for us to see the details of your work in order to judge it properly. Keep in mind, this is a subjective judgement on your work, as made by our judges, and their decisions will be final, so please make sure we can actually see enough of your work in the picture or pictures. It is recommended that you send the upper limit on the # of pictures, if possible.

In case anyone is allergic to pumpkins, I do want to allow those highly realistic foam pumpkins you see in craft stores.
Also, this year we are not allowing pumpkin painting, just pumpkin carving. Next year, if we do well this year, we will add a "painted" category.
And, yes, multiple pumpkins used to make a pumpkin carving diorama is also allowed, if you feel you really want to be that ambitious.
Also, if by some chance you live in a part of the world where there are no pumpkins, and you can't get a foam pumpkin from a craft store, then yes, you can substitute a gourd or squash that is native to your region.
Plus, any single person may enter this contest up to 5 times. However, the entries must not overlap in any way. In other words, if you made a diorama for one entry, you may not use any elements of the diorama for any other entries.
And, just because someone asked, if you want to actually carve up a bunch of pumpkins and build something out of the pieces, since you did carve the pumpkins it would be allowed. Should I expect a life sized diorama of the cast of Lackadaisy made out of pumpkins parts now?
